Digital Delivery

About The Role

MWH Treatment are seeking a Regional Digital Delivery Lead to lead the practical establishment, implementation and sustained adoption of digital delivery initiatives across the Thames Water Framework. The role will work directly with office-based and site delivery teams to demonstrate, embed and assure digital ways of working, strengthening collaboration, consistency, data quality and project outcomes. The postholder will support the Head of PMO in delivering the Framework Development Plan and will collaborate with the Company Head of Digital to align regional implementation with company strategy and standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide visible, hands-on leadership for the establishment and embedment of digital initiatives across Thames Framework offices and project sites; regular in-region presence is an essential requirement of the role.
  • Engage directly with project managers, engineers, planners, construction managers, site managers, supervisors and other users to understand delivery needs and translate them into practical digital solutions.
  • Present, demonstrate and facilitate collaborative working sessions with site and office teams, including briefings, training, digital rehearsals, drop-in support and structured aftercare.
  • Lead or support the Thames rollout and embedment of agreed digital initiatives, including digital tools rollout, 4D rehearsals and outage preparation, digital delivery embedment reporting, BIM 360 / field management, ProjectWise supply-chain CDE, IFS Cloud / MView, Nialli collaborative planning, Site Assist, Causeway, Quality / ITP reporting, CAT & Genny reporting and Defects & Handover databases.
  • Apply the Framework implementation approach: establish a clear problem statement and required outputs; secure stakeholder buy-in; plan briefing, training and go-live; embed functional assurance and feedback routes; provide aftercare; and report adoption and performance trends.
  • Support the Framework Development Plan through the Head of PMO function, helping to establish, own, govern and control current and future digital systems throughout the current and future AMP periods.
  • Liaise with the Company Head of Digital and relevant central digital specialists to support collaboration, technical alignment, implementation, learning transfer and consistency with company digital strategy.
  • Work with Thames Water stakeholders and MWHT functional leads to align digital initiatives with client priorities, continuous improvement activity, governance requirements and the localised MWHT Way.
  • Own or sponsor allocated digital change initiatives from concept through implementation, embedment, assurance and handover into business-as-usual ownership.
  • Develop and maintain implementation plans, stakeholder maps, communications, training materials, user guidance, adoption measures, assurance checks, risks, actions and lessons learnt for assigned initiatives.
  • Identify regional pain points, process inefficiencies, data duplication and opportunities for improvement; collaborate with users and subject-matter experts to define proportionate solutions through agreed governance routes.
  • Provide practical support and structured problem-solving where adoption, access, data quality, process integration or system use is preventing effective delivery.
  • Establish and maintain meaningful measures of deployment, adoption, compliance, user feedback and benefits realisation, providing clear updates to the Head of PMO and relevant governance forums.
  • Support digital rehearsals, 4D visualisation and collaborative reviews, including facilitation and coaching where required, and help develop sustainable capability within project teams.
  • Promote inclusive adoption by tailoring engagement and training to different roles, levels of digital confidence and project circumstances, ensuring reasonable support is available to users.
  • Maintain appropriate records, controls and assurance evidence so that digital strategies and implementation activity are auditable across the project lifecycle.
  • Share learning across projects and contribute to regional and company communities of practice, support materials and continuous improvement activity.
  •  Undertake other reasonable duties aligned with the purpose and level of the role, as Framework priorities and digital systems evolve.
