About The Role

MWH treatment is a highly successful business, and we are continually looking for talented individuals to join us. An opportunity has arisen for an operational HR Business Partner to join the team covering our regions based in the South including Anglian Water & South West Water.

You will be a trusted HR partner for managers and employees across your regions, helping to create a positive and high-performing working environment. Through expert employee relations support, coaching, talent development and succession planning, you'll help managers get the best from their teams while supporting the delivery of our People Plan. Working closely with the Head of People and wider HR team, you'll play an important role in developing our people and supporting the future success of the business.

Key responsibilities 

  • Manage all employee relations issues in your regions (disciplinary, grievance, performance management, sickness absence etc)
  • In partnership with Line Managers, deploy the People Plan within your respective areas of responsibility, for example succession & talent, line management training.
  • Coaching Managers and individuals on people related matters.
  • Working with the central teams to implement key initiatives relating to areas such as talent, performance management, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing.
  • Support the Recruitment team in future talent processes such as graduate recruitment.
  • Undertake and support HR project work as identified
  • Work closely with the L&D team to provide support in the co-ordination of training & development for managers and their teams in line with performance management tools.
  • Act as a trusted partner to regional leadership teams, providing insight and guidance on people matters to support business objectives.
  • Analyse and interpret people metrics including engagement, absence, turnover and performance trends, identifying risks and recommending solutions.
  • Lead workforce and succession planning activities to ensure the business has the capability and talent required to meet future operational demands.
  • Support organisational change, restructures, TUPE activity and transformation programmes in line with employment legislation and company policy.
  • Build leadership capability through coaching, mentoring and facilitation of management development programmes.

About You

Essential:

  • Proven experience operating as an HR Business Partner, partnering with managers and leaders to deliver people-focused solutions and business objectives.
  • Ability to build and maintain core business relationships with key stakeholders
  • High level of educational and CIPD qualified to at least Level 5
  • Solid experience of implementing policies and procedures
  • Strong Knowledge of employment law principles
  • Excellent Microsoft skills; to include minimum intermediate level excel and word
  • You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong influencing skills a flexible approach, pro-active self-starter, action orientated, resilient with a can-do attitude

    Desirable:

  • Experience in an Engineering / Construction environment
  • Experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives.
