About The Role

MWH Treatment are looking to strengthen our Programme Management team by recruiting a Document Controller to support our project delivery activities.

The role reports to our Lead Document Controller and will support multiple projects across our Severn Trent region. You will work with site-based project teams, to manage the documents and information flows for key project stakeholders.

The role will primarily support our project sites, but its location of delivery can be flexible across the working week. Time will need to be spent on our project sites, alongside time in our Regional Offices (either Derby or Coleshill) plus time working remotely. How this time is split will depend on the requirements of the projects and the teams you will be working with. Part time applications may be considered on a pro rata basis.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Delivering the Document Control capability for designated company projects.
  • Following MWH document control procedures and processes.
  • Setting up the MWH document management process on projects including managing document access, electronic document filing and document sharing.
  • Be the project’s point of contact for all queries regarding document storage and management.
  • Coordinates flow of documents between each stage of delivery from our Pre-Construction team, through Design & Engineering, into construction, commissioning and eventual project handover.
  • Maintains the project document register and drawings register for MWH projects.
  • Managing the distribution of documents/drawings internally across both the project and regional business.
  • Managing the distribution of documents/drawings to stakeholders and external client teams under the project team’s direction.
  • Carries out quality assurance checks on documentation prior to uploading.
  • Uploads documents onto the relevant systems including internal MWH systems and external client portals.
  • Attends project meetings and advise the project team on document control activities.
  • Manage the system responses and circulate these comments across the project team for action.

About You

  • Essential Skills

    • Previous experience in a Document Control or closely related role. 
    • Highly organised with an attention to detail, ability to plan and prioritise own workload, able to work effectively to deadlines. 
    • Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.  
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written, with internal and external personnel.
    • Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel across the regional area.

     

    Desirable Skills

  • Certified Document Controller qualified.
  • Experience in the construction or water industry.
