About The Role

To support the successful delivery of our growing portfolio of projects across our regions, we are expanding our leadership capacity within the Project Delivery function. We are seeking a Project Support Manager to lead and oversee the administrative and operational support functions critical to project delivery. This hybrid role will be based across our regions based at our Hattersley office.

Role Overview:

The Project Support Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Project Support Coordinators and ensuring consistent, efficient, and compliant support across all project sites. This role will drive process improvement, ensure alignment with procurement and commercial strategies, and act as a key interface between project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Support Coordinators across multiple project sites.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands and ensure timely support delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the accurate loading of project material and service requirements into the P2P system.
  • Ensure timely goods receipting and compliance with procurement and finance procedures.
  • Monitor and resolve supplier invoice queries, escalating where necessary to ensure prompt resolution.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure project support practices are aligned with company and client policies.
  • Implement and maintain standardised procedures across all projects to ensure consistency and auditability.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Commercial & Financial Support

  • Collaborate with commercial teams to provide accurate data and reporting to support decision-making.
  • Manage hire equipment processes to minimise cost exposure and ensure operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a key point of contact for procurement, finance, and project delivery teams.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to support effective query resolution and service delivery.
  • Represent the Project Support function in cross-functional meetings and initiatives.

About You

Essential:

  • Proven experience in managing project support or administrative teams in a project-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, finance, and commercial processes.
  • Proficiency in P2P systems and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and ensure compliance across multiple projects.

Desirable:

  • Experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and data reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of hire equipment management and supplier engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and optimise operational processes.
