About The Role

MWH have now been awarded Projects at Dukinfield, Aston-Under-Lyne, Arnfield, Godley, Hyde and Wigan and Skelmersdale across the AMP8 Framework Agreement with United Utilities. We are looking to strengthen our Construction and Project delivery teams with Site Engineers assigned to a project or section within our programme of work.

Reporting to the Senior Site Engineer or Assistant Project Manager, you will be part of the Site Engineering team, competent in setting out, continually monitoring, and communicating the engineering requirements to the team and workforce! 

Responsible for setting out control, quality control, Temporary Works, lifting operations, safety management and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•           Manage the setting out and dimensional control. Equipment management and calibration, weekly, monthly instrument check.

•           Ensure the drawing register is updated and maintained.

•           Ensure as built survey records and drawings are maintained.

•           Liaise with the Design department.

•           Raise Technical Queries (TQ’s) and Requests for Information (RFI’s).

•           Manage the Non-Conformance Records, (NCR’s) procedure.

•           Manage Temporary Works and TW Supervisors.

•           Carry out the Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) role.

•           Manage lifting operations, (AP CPCS qualified).

•           Support the non-working supervision on site and lead on lifting operations.

•           Manage inspection and test plans and lead on quality.

•           Magane permits to break ground. Including carry out the service coordinator role.

•           Raise improve its and promote a positive H&S culture.

 

•           Write safe systems of work, RAMS and COSHH assessments.

•           Write, review and record progress of short-term lookahead programmes.

•           Lead and manage bulk material take off’s, place orders and call materials to site.

•           Manage and review site diaries and records.

•           Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.

•           Monitor subcontract performance.

•           Contribute to risk and opportunity.

•           Contribute to design and development, constructability, commission, operate and maintain.

About You

Essential:

•           Experience within a Site Engineering team, working on various projects.

•           Strong client service focus and excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.

•           An understanding of supply chain expectations

•           CDM and Health & Safety knowledge.

•           SMSTS or IOSH Qualified.

•           Temporary Works Coordinator (suitably Qualified)

•           Lifting Operations Appointed Person, (CPCS Qualified)

•           Service Coordinator, (suitably Qualified)

Desirable

•           Collaborative approach

•           Knowledge of the water industry.
