About The Role

We are looking to strengthen our IFS ERP systems team with an ERP Support Engineer (Mid to senior level) based at Hattersley with hybrid working available. 

You will report directly to the ERP Systems manager and your role will cover the technical support, configuration, and enhancement of our ERP systems. It involves troubleshooting issues, user support, system upgrades, release management and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver ERP-related system enhancements. We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience, with responsibilities and salary scaled accordingly.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for the IFS Cloud ERP and other supporting business applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues
  • Provide system specifications, testing and documentation
  • Maintain system configurations, user roles, and permissions
  • Lead or support ERP upgrades, updates & integrations
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and implement system enhancements
  • Support data integrity, reporting and analytics using SQL and IFS reporting tools
  • Liaise with IFS & third-party vendors for advanced support, training and system developments
  • Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes and innovations. 
  • Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
  • Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role
  • In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the department and MWH Treatment as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive, and beneficial relationships.
  •  Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality
 
 

About You

Essential 

Experience of supporting ERP systems, preferably IFS

Able to independently troubleshoot and work through a problem through to resolution

Able to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users

Able to research and quickly assimilate relevant new technologies, concepts, architectures, and features

Passion for high-quality I.T service delivery and continuous improvement
