About The Role

We are looking to strengthen our Digital Delivery team with a Regional Digital Delivery Lead based at Preston with hybrid working available.  

You will report directly to the Head of Delivery and your role will
 drive and lead the digital agenda in Region, supporting project teams’ understanding and adoption of digital initiatives. Championing the MWHT core digital applications across Engineering and Operational functions. 

Key responsibilities:  

    • Creating cohesion between engineering and operational practices, to maximise the use of data from project initiation to handover 
      • Maintaining and influencing change in accordance with the MWHT Way across the regional framework, JV or Alliances. Driving the digital agenda within the framework; be relentless in pursuit of change management and redefining the default to digital delivery. 

      • Implementing digital delivery as business as usual as a strategic priority for MWHT, where the core tools are delivery and digital strategy, surveying and scanning, 3D modelling, visualisation, digital rehearsal, digital field management, asset management and handover.  

      • Support the management of the digital delivery toolbox maturity matrix to ensure we are meeting out commitments at framework and business level 

      • Support the development, implementation and deployment of the suit of digital initiatives in play now and roll out new developments, where deployment shall include communication, resource development, hosting webinars and being the go-to champion in region for support and knowledge exchange 

      • Sponsor and ownership of allocated change management and digital initiatives to achieve business excellence 

      • Capture regional pain points across disciplines and functional areas and feedback to central MWHT for solution development through the agreed routes 

      • Providing clarity in staff in the adoption of the right tools and the right time 

      • Sponsor and ownership of allocated change management and digital initiatives to achieve business excellence 

      • Being an integrator and maintaining a good working relationship with supply chain, client, functional teams in order to support the alignment and data exchange flows are streamlined and points of rework are minimised or double handling of data 

      • Communication across the region to ensure everyone is onboarded into the digital way of working and any new procedures, protocols are disseminated out 

      • Build a regional level community between regional level leads for commissioning, engineering, SHEQ to ensure aligned thinking and objectives 

      • Supporting regional rehearsal lead, information manager executes their duties in region, removing blockers and enabling success. 

      • Ensuring every project has an auditable digital strategy throughout the project lifecycle, which is submitted to ORC as part of our business excellence goals. Reporting on project compliance in line with Client stage gate delivery processes. 

      • Establishing & maintaining a system of reports and metrics to monitor digital success at project and regional/framework level. 

    • Building and maintaining a relationship with client bringing them on the digital transformation journey, driving to make regional level advancement

About You

Competencies - Technical 
  • Successful change management and digital transformation deployment  
    • Appreciation of IM according to ISO 19650, related standards, and the Information Protocol 

    • Knowledge and understanding of engineering design, delivery and construction within any primary infrastructure sector, preferably Water or Utilities. 
 
Competencies – Behavioural 
  • Ability to engage with staff at all levels, provide support with digital initiatives and drive adoption  
  • Self-motivated and keen to learn across a range of technical subjects and digital disciplines. 
 

Experience: 

  • Experience in the role of Change Manager for a framework or large-scale project  
    • Experience using and managing the role out of digital initiatives supporting key areas of surveying and scanning, 3D models, rehearsal and visualisation, field management, asset management and handover, PDO controls for digital applications

    •  

    • Qualifications: 

A certified postgraduate Engineering or Operational profession qualification is desirable 
  • Membership of a professional institution desirable 

Individual BIM certification (ISO19650 or BS1192) with recognised body e.g., ICE, BSi, BRE, etc. an advantage
