About The Role

MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their commercial  team with a Quantity Surveyor for our CMDP joint venture framework. Based at the Falmer (Brighton) office, you will be expected to take responsibility got several key accounts on a large project or the overall financial control of smaller projects.

CMDP is a joint venture between MWH Treatment and Costain and will deliver a range of schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works in the eastern half of its region (Kent & East Sussex).

You will report directly to the Regional Quantity Surveyor and the responsibilities will include:

  • Applications, valuations / cost value reconciliation. •
  • Cost control and forecasting. Prepare and feed information for monthly reports: value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow.
  • Supply chain management.
  • Assisting with Risk and Value Management to optimise solution. Mentor and regularly review with the project team.
  • Contract Management – including all relevant contractual forms, methods of budgetary control and relevant software applications.
  • Prepare subcontract enquiries negotiate and set up contracts.
  • Ensure all notifications/documents are kept up to date
  • Ensure all safety risk situations are brought to the attention of site management.
  • Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractor(s) and clients’ representative(s)
  • Provide contractual advice to the site team as and when required.

About You

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • ARICS or studying for APC
  • Serval years’ experience working with a main contractor
