MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their Procurement team with a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager for our CMDP joint venture framework. Based at the Falmer (Brighton) office you will provide procurement & supply chain leadership and management for the CMDP programme with accountability for the procurement department. You will develop the wider procurement and supply chain strategy for the AMP7 programme whilst maximising efficiency and cost effectiveness.

CMDP is a joint venture between MWH Treatment and Costain and will deliver a range of schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works in the eastern half of its region (Kent & East Sussex).

You will report directly to the Commercial Director and the responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the CMDP business in driving initiatives and process to deliver procurement at pace.

  • Monitoring the effectiveness & performance of the supply chain to develop lessons learned to support supply chain performance improvements.

  • Provide supply chain performance data to the CMDP leadership team to inform delivery strategies.

  • Provide support to the CMDP estimating team on pricing, performance & availability of products and sub-contractors.

  • Liaise with the Clients procurement & commercial team.

  • Take a lead role in the Clients Integrated Supply Chain Group representing the interests of the CMDP team.

  • Ensure the delivery & commercial teams complies with the Framework Supply Chain strategy for AMP7.

  • Monitor the marketplace to identify threats to the CMDP framework from supplier insolvency or other external factors, such as Brexit.

About You

  • Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution

  • Degree or equivalent Qualification level

  • Have knowledge of NEC3/4 Option C or other target cost forms of contract

  • Extensive experience of the UK water sector

  • Experience of managing and developing an individual or small team
