Here within the @one Alliance we are a totally collaborative organisation made up of our seven partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

Now working in the latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP 7, we are working towards delivering an approximate £1.3bn programme of work until 2025. Are you ready to join us as we aim to deliver the most exciting and innovative AMP we have ever seen?

To work as efficiently as possible during AMP7 by adopting a more collaborative approach with the Anglian Water Asset Delivery and planning (ADP) team, to generate and assess viable solution options and to identify a single preferred option for the @one alliance to then deliver. we are looking for a Portfolio Solutions Manager to join the team!

What will you be doing as our new Portfolio Solutions Manager?

As our new Portfolio Solutions Manager, you’ll collaborate with Anglian Water to generate solutions that achieve Anglian Water’s and the @one alliance’s objectives. You’ll Manage the @one alliances solution stage and work closely with the relevant Project Managers, Technical Managers, and designers within each portfolio. Alongside providing engineering competency of either water, or water recycling, infrastructure and non-infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with ADP and the Lead PSM, identify and plan what support the @one Alliance needs to provide to a given project, including strategy, output, cost, programme and quality.
  • Take direction from the Lead PSM and provide direct support to ADP by managing the production of data and solution options for informing the Risk Opportunity and Value (ROV) process.
  • Lead site investigations and ensure correct stakeholders are involved and to understand individual project objectives and if unclear, challenge for clarity.
  • Working with the Lead PSM, identify and manage the appropriate and timely input of @one delivery teams for solution generation and selection.
  • Ensure TOTEX, Benefits Realisation, and Six Capitals are core to solution development and selection.
  • Drive the development of solution options, ensuring rigorous application of the process, and appropriate and timely challenge.
  • In conjunction with the Design Manager, or Technical Manager, agree the required level of detail for solution development and for producing the Basis of Design, considering opportunity and risk.
  • Lead and co-ordinate the @one delivery team resources, to achieve the required outputs in a timely manner

About You

Skills/Experience
 
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours….

To join the team in our journey of innovation and change, you’ll hold an Engineering Degree or qualification (HNC or HND) and have demonstrable experience of technical management and/or project management. Whilst previous experience of implementing innovative solutions is desirable, your track-record of leading multidisciplinary teams is vital to understanding the complex challenges we face. A good understanding of Water Recycling processes is also essential.

Operating as a visible and inspirational leader, you’ll inspire confidence in your team and key stakeholders by being well organised and heavily client focussed. Able to successfully mitigate potentially conflicting interest between parties, your strong technical knowledge and background will come to the fore as you drive efficiencies and innovation.
