MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their Health & Safety team with a CDM Advisor for our @one Alliance framework. The @one Alliance is a totally collaborative organisation made up of seven partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and their extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
The @one Alliance are heading into their latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP 7 and this will see them deliver a £1.4bn programme of work over the next five years. Are you ready to join us as we gear up to deliver the most exciting and innovative AMP we have ever seen.
What will you be doing as our new CDM Advisor?
As our new CDM Advisor, you’ll own the Alliance CDM processes and procedures and monitor compliance within the design teams. Periodically reviewing and revising CDM processes and procedures with subject matter experts and SHEA Systems Manager, you’ll deliver first class stakeholder management, advice and guidance on all things Health & Safety within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively oversee CDM compliance ensuring regulations and objectives are consistently met with other appointed duty holders leading by example
- Produce timely and accurate CDM compliance reports and pre-construction information and distribute to those who require input or visibility, including the HSE
- Review design assumptions and design risk assessments to ensure hazards have been eliminated or reduced to as low as is reasonably practicable.
- Ensure designs comply with Anglian Water ‘Safe to Operate’ requirements with operational staff’s wellbeing and overall project costs considered throughout
- Develop and deliver Health & Safety training packages to designers and suppliers to ensure best practice and knowledge sharing is optimised across the Alliance.
- Partner closely with the Anglian Water CDM Discipline Head to best meet CDM and the Clients requirements whilst pushing innovation and processes to ensure compliance in the most efficient fashion
